FYI, I recorded an interview about the latest Iraqi political developments with Dave Marash for al-Jazeera English which is supposed to air this evening. I've spoken with Dave a number of times on the phone, but today was the first time we actually met - he is not just an impressive guy, but a Williams alum (not that there's any contradiction!) I also got the chance to chat with YouTube sensation Ghida Fakhry and the al-Jazeera Arabic bureau chief Aberrahim Foukara - many of whom had some interesting thoughts about the much-discussed changes to the al-Jazeera board of directors - but those stories will have to wait for another day. For now, just a media appearance alert for those who are interested.
... and there I am, from the 7:00 news program. When I was in Williamstown it was very difficult to do TV because I had no studio within an hour. Here in DC, not so much.
Ah, well, I just realised I get this channel on hotbird or eurosat.

Obviously the question all of us who invest much time and energy thinking about the WOT, Islam’s role in the new world order, the relative power balance amongst Iraqi political religious & ethnic groups etc. is …. Is she as beautiful in real life as she is on TV?
