There has been some controversy over an early report that the Islamic State of Iraq (al-Qaeda) had claimed responsibility for the Green Zone bombing. Not long ago, the Islamic State of Iraq did claim responsibility in a posting on the forums via its usual al-Fajr source, describing it as part of the campaign recently announced by Abu Omar al-Baghdadi and predicting that it would hasten the collapse of the US-backed 'kafir' government. The message also seemed to snipe at the Islamic Army of Iraq and the other anti-ISI factions.
Of course claims are easy to make, but given the controversy I thought it worth noting.
UPDATE: here's an AP report on the same posting, and Evan Kohlmann's take (with a salutory warning about what is and what isn't a credible source).
I couldn't see any sniping at Islamic Army or other anti-ISI groups in the posting you cited. Could you indicate what you were referring to ?

I interpret the line about "the conspiracies against the Islamic State" as a reference to them - along with the references to those aligning themselves with those who are against the Muslims (since that language is being used against the IAI currently in a lot of the forum postings). I could be wrong about that reading of those lines, of course...
