I'm my way home from a workshop so secret that I'm not allowed to mention its topic, its location, the guests, the agenda, or anything that was said. "Aspen Rules" sounds so... sinister, does it not? I may have already said too much...
What I can say is that there is no truth whatsoever to the rumor that I was in high level negotiations to film a TV pilot for a show called "The Aardvark," about the wacky adventures of a blogger. If you heard that David Duchovny was there, well he wasn't. Neither was Catherine Zeta-Jones, nor Eliza Dushku. Joss Whedon had nothing to do with it. Haifa Wehbi isn't even an actor! And those kids weren't anywhere near as cute as mine, not that there were any kids. And why would Scott Miller come out of retirement just to record a theme song?
The things people say. Just because I was featured in the March 27 edition of Variety (even if it wasn't online).... Good thing my new laptop has wireless so that I can nip such silly rumors in the bud.
Actual Aardvark blogging to resume shortly.
Where's your MySpace profile?
Actually, I love that Scott Miller has a MySpace profile. I know it sounds cheesy to have one, but it seems that it's a great, free way to let your fans know your tour schedule, keep them up to speed with any news on the band, and to let them hear your new songs.
Seems to me that an up and coming author could benefit from a profile there as well. Again, it's free and there are bazillions of people that hang out there.
