The line that stopped me in the article was...
"Neil Stephenson, Festival Director and CEO, said the festival was honoured to have the esteemed leader visit Dubai as its guest..."
So Neil Stephenson invites Buffy and Desmond over to Dubai to speak at the festival he runs between churning out 3000-page trilogies...
