Egyptian constitutional reforms
Hosni Mubarak has declared that reforms of Egypt's Constitution are coming. Democracy activists are very hopeful. In particular, the rumored new provision in the section on "eligibility for President" which stipulates that candidates for the Presidency must be able to prove patrilineal descent from a sitting President seems guaranteed to improve the quality of upcoming Presidential competitions.

The prospective roster of candidates for Egypt's next Presidential elections... who will win?
[note - no, not really. If Gamal Mubarak wins the Presidency, it will be because his superior intellect and stunning good looks allowed him to overcome the heavy burden of patrilineal descent from the sitting President through his own vigorous, manly, even heoric efforts. Can I have my visa now?]
